About the photographer.
Hello! I'm Lindsey. 32. Mom. Wife. Photographer. <3 Many name titles, but praying I am blessed to be your photographer.
There are a some VERY important areas in my life.
1. I have a large family that I love to the moon and back. Yes, I love it. I am a mom to 9 children! I have 6 boys, 3 girls. They range from 2 years old to my step-daughter who is going on 18 this year! I am also expecting another boy due on April 27th! :)
2. I also stay at home and teach. Yes, homeschool. :) I wouldn't change it for the world. As long as the laws allow me I always want to be the teacher to my children. Parents are the best teachers a child can ever have.. Yes. the best.
3. The sweetest name I know - JESUS. Jesus is a big part of my life.
I attend church on Sunday's (morning and night) and Wednesday's (night) so I prefer this time not for photography, but for the one who died for me. <333 Everything I do, every picture I take is for Him.
4. My son who is now 11 was diagnosed with leukemia on December 15, 2014. He was diagnosed with a more common type of cancer, Pre B Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia, however, just because it is common does not mean it is nice or easy. He ended treatment on February 17, 2018. He is one year post treatment and remains in remission. He struggles with many symptoms from the chemo. He attends regular check ups and has regular labs done. As his mom, I fear relapse at times, but all we can do is pray. You can find his fan page on Facebook at Dalton's Journey with Leukemia- ALL.
On a little bit of a lesser note, my daughter who is now 4, born 1 week after Dalton's diagnosis, was born with a cataract. Crazy, right? She had surgery at four months old. She wore a special contact in her eye until January 19, 2017. She had her second surgery on 1/19/17 to put back in a lens being she turned 2. She still has to patch and receive eye drops to improve her vision and now has glasses! You can find her fan page on Facebook at LIFE WITH PHOEBE. Phoebe still has regular eye exams and upgrades glasses regularly.
*These things ALWAYS come before my work. I'm sorry, but that is what it is. Life throws curves and unexpected events so it very well can effect the picture processing time. Spring and Summer months ALWAYS take longer. At least 4-6 weeks. I can say 4 weeks and at any time it can change because of my big family things can happen at any time! My apologies in advance! I love what I do though and work hard to get my work done!
FYI-
So when choosing me as your photographer please keep this in mind. If you want your photos fast chances are I may not be the one for you. My turnaround time varies due to all the above.
HISTORY
When I was a little girl I always had my little black mickey camera and/or a throw away camera in my hand.
I was ALWAYS snapping photos of weird things that appealed to me and only me! Photos that my parents had no idea I took. Some, no idea what it was! They meant something to me though! I saw something in the picture! ;) Even if it was just a picture of someone's feet. ;)
And that is what it is ALL about... Creating images that you see that someone else may not see! I have my own artistic side compared to others. They have their own. That's what makes the difference. You choose what you like best. I love being creative and artistic to make a creation through my eyes for you. Growing up as a teenager I still had a camera glued to my hand through high school.
SNAPSHOT BLESSINGS FOUNDED
I was blessed with the opportunity to purchase my first real camera in September 2011. Special thanks go out to this person who made this possible. Which was a Nikon D3100. It was like holding a rare jewel in the center of my palm.. I was so amazed by this piece of equipment and how much better my photos looked when I took pictures. I was in complete bliss. It is so much different then a throw away camera or a cell phone camera! I upgraded cameras since and working on another!
I'M BLESSED
My popularity is growing at the rate I would like it to. Sometimes I feel I am unworthy of such goodness from all the bookings! God has the power to bless or not to. He gets all the praise and I am SO thankful for my clients who give me the opportunity to capture their families, their wedding, and other events and milestones in their life. I am truly blessed to be apart of your vacation, your wedding, your life.
DEFINITELY MORE
Past clients have given me the blessing of letting me capture them. And knowing I was new back then they still had faith in me to do my job! Snapshot Blessings is now "in business" to serve your every photography need. I still consider it a hobby though because I love it! It isn't just a job! It's a passion! You should love what you do and I DO!
So here I am, all out in the open! I am ready to book your session today and create art for your home!
May God bless you,
-your photographer, Lindsey
